Company highlights progress across cellular, IoT and satellite connectivity applications
Forefront RF, a Cambridge-based fabless semiconductor scale-up, is exhibiting for the first time at Microelectronics UK. Taking place at ExCeL London from 29–30 September, the event brings together key stakeholders from across the UK electronics and semiconductor industries, providing Forefront RF with an opportunity to showcase the progress made with its FFM51010 tunable duplexer module since its launch earlier this year.
As part of the programme Forefront RF’s Director of Business Development, Alexander Doust, has been invited to deliver a short presentation titled “RF Systems in the Real World” on the Discovery Stage on 29 September from 11:45–12:00.
Building on the launch of its flagship module, Forefront RF has continued to develop its proprietary Foretune™ technology as a multi-domain platform. The company is also expanding its application portfolio beyond cellular connectivity for smartphones, smartwatches and other connected devices, to encompass reliable coexistence between wireless technologies in IoT systems, and tunable RF front ends for direct-to-device satellite connectivity.
All these applications are underpinned by Foretune™ and combine Adaptive Passive Cancellation with tunable filtering, to offer a reconfigurable alternative to conventional RF front end architectures based on multiple fixed-frequency components. Its operating frequency and channel bandwidth are dynamically configurable, enabling the underlying architecture to be adapted to different RF requirements.
